Multi Coloured Cracked Glass 8mm Round Glass Beads (~50pce Strand) - 40cm/16'" Strand.
Crystal-like in appearance, cracked glass dates back to the 16th century and was used by venetian glass-makers. This venice technique has been applied to get the crackled bead by immersing in cold water while the glass is hot causing the glass to crack. To smooth the cracked glass, it then heated again into the desired shape.
